The Lake

"Stillness and Motion."
I came across an image by chance: an old man fishing at the center of a quiet lake. As he cast his net, gentle ripples spread across the surface.
I've always had a fondness for the shape of water ripples, but often felt a kind of regret - how quickly they disappear, how fleeting that beauty is.
This scene felt different. It captured a moment that usually vanishes in seconds and held it still. I wanted to paint that stillness, that softness.
Now, whenever I feel anxious, I can simply raise my wrist and feel the calmness of that moment again.
